News & Notes from BMS for November 27th, 2017
Spirit Day: Monday, November 27: Brandon Blue Volleyball Christmas Toy Drive: This event for OCEF will end on December 14, 2017. We will be collecting new, unwrapped toys in each Seminar class to donate. Annie: BMS is performing the musical Annie on Friday, December 1st and Saturday, December 2nd at the BHS Performing Arts Center. Doors open at 6:00 P.M. and the curtain goes up at 7:00 P.M. Hope to see you there. Family Fun Night: Brandon Aquatic Center presents Winter Wonder Swim. Please check out the attached flyer for more details about a great night of swimming and fun. Cheer Fundraiser: Check out the flyer below if you are need of some babysitting. This is a great opportunity for parents and children. Candlelight Vigil for Deputy Eric Overall: On Sunday, November 26, there will be a candlelight vigil in Honor of Oakland County Sheriff Deputy Eric Overall who tragically lost his life on 11/23/17 in the line of duty. There will be a meeting downtown at 4 pm to hang blue ribbons around town, and congregating at the corner of Mill Street and South Street at 5pm for a candlelight vigil. Several members of the community will be invited to speak, including local pastors and leaders. 4pm: Ribbon Tying around Downtown Ortonville 5pm: Candlelight Vigil at Mill and South Street Please bring candles for yourself and a few extra if you’re able to share with the community. We will also need volunteers to bring ribbon. Anything between 1” and 3” ribbon preferably. Feel free to share with as many friends, neighbors, and communities as you’d like.
