News & Notes from BMS for August 30th, 2018

Spirit Day: Wednesday, September 12th Brandon Blue-Football

Allergy Reminder: This is a reminder that all BMS classrooms are peanut/nut butter, tree nuts, and egg free. However, your student is allowed to bring these food items to be eaten in our cafeteria at lunch time. Our stage area is going to be a peanut/nut butter, tree nuts, and egg free zone. That means if your student brings any of these items in their lunch they have to eat their lunch on the main level of the cafeteria.

Water Update: At this point in time we are still testing the water for drink-ability. We can use the water to cook, clean, and for restroom use. We currently cannot drink the water at BMS. However, we will have several water stations for the students to use for a drink or to fill up their water bottles. If anything changes before the start of school on Tuesday, September 4th, I will send out another update. I appreciate your patience while we work through this matter.

Student Schedules: On Monday, September 3rd please check Parent Portal to view your student’s schedule. There have been a few minor changes and we want to make sure that everyone has the most accurate information.

Drop Off & Pick Up: All 8th grade drop offs and pickups will use the north entrance by Brandon Tire and all 6th grade drop offs and pickups will use the south entrance next to our bus loop. 7th grade students who have their 1st hour class upstairs will use the north entrance and 7th graders with their 1st hour class downstairs will use the south entrance. Students can enter the building at 7:00 AM. Students are then directed to sit and wait in the cafeteria until we dismiss them at 7:25. There are several new signs that are posted throughout the BMS campus to ensure that we have a safe and easy to follow traffic flow. If you have any questions about this please contact the BMS main office.

Bus Line-Up: Please see the attached picture for the bus line-up for the 2018-2019 school year.

This school year is going to be amazing. I look forward to working together with you in order for your student to reach their full potential.

If you have any questions about the above stated items please contact our main office at 248-627-1800.

Have a great day and GO BLACKHAWKS!!
