Spirit Day: Tuesday, September 18th Brandon Blue-Cross Country Water Update: We are still waiting for the results from the MDEQ concerning our water. For next week, we are still going to use the three water stations so students can get a drink or fill up their water bottles. I greatly appreciate your patience while we work through this situation. Bus Monitors: If you, or you know someone, that is looking for a part-time position for Students Days only, please share the attached posting. Anyone interested in learning more about the Bus Monitor position, please call Shelly Fasse at 248-627-1806 or 248-627-1805. If your current work schedule would allow you to work an A.M. shift only or a P.M. shift only please call regarding this vacancy. Yearbook: Yearbooks are for sale! Yearbooks are $35 and can be purchased online or at school. Order forms are online and outside the Counseling Office. Students can turn in their order to their 1st hour or the office. Every student at BMS is invited to participate in the Yearbook Cover Contest. 1st place is front cover and 2nd place is the back cover. The cover art must be based on the yearbook theme (below). The due date is 9/21/18. Be You. Make the World a Better Place. Show Your Spirit. Yearbook Cover Contest Requirements: · Represent the theme in a creative way · Use color; Especially use Brandon Blue effectively · Incorporate the theme entirely/completely · Use 8.5"x 11" unlined, white paper · Proofread - there cannot be spelling/grammatical mistakes · You may use pencil, pen, marker, etc. · Pencil drawings/lines must be dark enough to see when the image/drawing is scanned into a computer · Deadline = Friday, September 21, 2018/submit to Mrs. Daniels or Mr. Sharnas in Room 134 (art room) Breakfast Program: Please read the attached letter for information about our breakfast program. Washington D.C. Trip: We have secured a second bus for our 8th Grade Washington DC trip for this year, so there is no more Wait List. If you were waiting to see, the time is now to join our trip. There are two easy ways to sign up: Call 1-800-468-5899 and use Trip number 152952 or go online www.worldstrides.com/signup and again use Trip number 152952. D.C. Parents: Please remember we have a mandatory meeting this Monday at 7:00 in the Upstairs Small Group Assembly Room/Kiva to discus the trip, Departure Procedures, Health Forms, Medicine Procedures, Behavior Contract, Room Mates, and Return Procedures and lastly to announce our Wreath Layers for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
