Dear 8th Grade Parent/Guardian:

It’s hard to believe that we will be registering your child for high school in just a few short weeks.  With the competitive world we live in, the many classes that are offered, and so many programs to choose from, preparing for high school can be a daunting task.  Brandon High School recognizes this challenge for our parents and students.  We are excited to announce our third annual Education Exploration Night on February 24, 2016, from 4:00 – 8:00 at Brandon High School. This night is set aside for all of our students and their families to come in and investigate what programs we offer in totality, to help prepare our students for the next level of life beyond the walls of Brandon High School, and to get the most out of what we offer while they are here.

While this Education Exploration Night is for the entire community and all grade levels, we have set aside part of it directly related to meet the needs of incoming high school freshmen and their parents.   Please mark your calendars and join me on this night, specifically at 6:15 pm in the high school Performing Arts Center.  During this presentation you will hear alumni speak and give advice to the incoming freshmen, a curriculum presentation, hints on what you should be doing right now to prepare your child for college, and a glimpse of all the other programs to help you become a more active contributor to society.

In addition to our Education Exploration Night we have also invited the Ortonville Chamber of Commerce to join us in hosting their Business Expo the same night.  With over 25 local vendors giving free food, a bounce house and face painting for the little ones, and other free items, this is surely an event to bring our whole community together as one.

We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to the parents and students of Brandon Middle School, helping them ease into their transition as a Brandon High School Blackhawk next year.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email or call my office.

Your Partner in Education,

Daniel M. Stevens
Principal
