Jets Pizza Fundraiser:  Please consider getting Jets Pizza this Tuesday, November 13th for dinner.  20% of all proceeds on this day will go to the BHS Student Council.  See the attached flyer for more details.

Challenge Day:  On December 5th and 6th we will be offering our students the opportunity to attend the highly acclaimed Challenge Day.  We are in need of community members that would like to take part in this day as well.  For more information, watch the video at Challengeday.org.  Please contact Mr. Stevens directly if you are interested in being a part of either one of these days.

Babysitter Safety:  Do you have a pre-teen or teenager looking to babysit?  See the attachéd flyer for a class that will get them certified on December 2nd.

ASVAB Test:
Brandon will be hosting the ASVAB test on November 14th.  This few hours in the AM can be eye-opening for any student who is doing some exploration of possible future careers!

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) tests students across a number of fields and results will tell the students which career areas they have strengths in.  Part two of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program helps students assess their interest areas and then puts together job suggestions that combine their skills and interests.

As the name suggests, this test is also used for military entrance purposes, and any student considering a career in the military should sign up to take the ASVAB to see how they do and what jobs may open up to them based on their scores

Foreign Exchange Student Needs a Home
Have you ever considered opening your home to an international student?  This might be your opportunity.  Educatius Group, in partnership with Brandon High School, is looking for a host family for a 14-year-old female student from Vietnam.  She is a freshman at Brandon and likes music and reading.

Having a student in Brandon HS is not a requirement to host.  Student can share a bedroom with a same-sex sibling within three year's of her age.  Host Families are provided with local support and a stipend to offset the expense of having the student in their home.

For information about hosting, please contact Heather Roberts at heather.roberts@educatius.org or 269-539-0015
