News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of April 27, 2020
 
 
Week #3:  There are so many great things going on with Distance Learning the past couple of weeks.  Distance Learning continues this week with Virtual classes Monday – Wednesday from 1:00 – 2:40.  Please make sure that your student is logging onto these meetings.  Just a reminder that your student must let all 6 of their teachers know by Wednesday this week if they will be taking the class as pass / fail or for a letter grade. 
 
Technology Help:  If you are in need of any technology help at all during this time of Distance Learning, do not hesitate to reach out to our technology department at help@technology.com
 
Online Tutoring:  If you are in need of extra help with any of your subjects please contact our Academic Support  Liaisons Laura Tokie and Tonja Brice.  They can be reached at academicsuccess@brandon.k12.mi.us
 
National Honor’s Society:  NHS new member selection has been postponed until the Fall.  Eligible candidates will receive information the first week of the 2020-21 school year.  Email Tammie Mirolli or Dennis Shannon if you have any questions.
 
Advanced Placement Tests:  If you wish to cancel your AP exam(s) and have not already done so, the deadline for cancellations is this coming Monday, April 27th.  Please complete this google form to request cancellation.  The full price you paid will be refunded to you.
 
Work PermitsWork Permits can be found on the main Brandon High School web page.  Once you have all of your information filled out you can scan it to Principal Dan Stevens and he will fill out the school’s portion and email it back to you.  Mr. Stevens can be reached at dstevens@brandon.k12.mi.us.
 
Scholarships:  All of our local scholarship providers are committed to being flexible with applications due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  All application deadlines have been bumped back to April 30th.  Also, all applications can be completed and mailed/emailed directly to the sponsors.  Please download the following applications and submit them to be considered!
 
Yearbooks:  BHS Yearbooks have been ordered and will arrive sometime in the middle of May.  Please stay tuned on how these will be distributed.  If you have any questions about this year’s yearbook, please contact Mrs. Kelsey at kkelsey@brandon.k12.mi.us
