News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of May 3, 2021
This Week’s Schedule: Monday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Tuesday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Wednesday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Thursday – “B” Day (Hours 4-6) Friday – “A” Day (Hours 1-3) Teacher Appreciation Week: This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please consider sending a little note or small gift to our teachers letting them know how much we appreciate all of the work they have done in this extraordinary year. Seniors – We have been given more guidance from the Oakland County Health Department on end of the year senior events. Watch your email for updated information to come out by the end of the day this Wednesday. Senior Exams: Senior final exams are May 19th and 20th. Please help you senior students make sure all work is made up by this time, that all money owed is taken care of, and they are prepared for final exams. The last day of school for seniors is May 20th. Juniors Last Name (M-Z): Juniors with last names M-Z will be taking the MSTEP test on Wednesday, May 5th at Brandon High School. This testing will begin at 7:25 in the morning and conclude around 11:30. Once testing is complete, students will go to lunch and then return to their regularly scheduled classes. Students who have an Advanced Placement test on this day that conflicts with this testing, should plan on taking their AP test. The MSTEP will be made up on a separate day. This will be a regular day of school for Juniors with last names A-L. Dates to Place on Your Calendar Now: April 28th – Report Cards Come Home May 5th – MSTEP Testing for Juniors (Last Name M-Z) May 18th - Senior Awards Convocation May 19th – Senior Final Exams for hours 1-3 May 20th – Senior Final Exams for hours 4-6 May 20th – Senior Cap and Gown Pick up (After 6th hour exam) May 20th – Seniors Last Day of School May 31st – Memorial Day (No School) June 3rd – (Tentative) Senior Breakfast / Walk / Graduation Rehearsal June 3rd – (Tentative) Senior Only Prom June 6th – Graduation (2:00) June 15th – ½ Day of School (Exams Hours 1-2) June 16th – ½ Day of School (Exams Hours 3-4) June 17th – ½ Day of School (Exams Hours 5-6) June 17th – Last day of School June 25th – Semester #2 Report Cards Mailed Home If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of our school administrators.
