News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of April 10, 2017
Testing: All students in grades 9-11 will be participating in standardized testing this week. These tests are mandated for graduation, so please make sure that your student is in attendance on these days It is very important that every students bring with them multiple pencils (not mechanical), erasers, a calculator and a pictured ID. See the scheduled below for more details: Monday, April 10th………. Regular day of school for all students Tuesday, April 11th………. PSAT testing for 9th and 10th grade, SAT testing for 11th grade. No school for 12th grade students on this day. Wednesday, April 12th …… Work Keys Testing for all juniors. Regular day of school for grades 9, 10, and 12 Thursday, April 13th……… Regular day of school for all students Friday, April 14th…………. No school for all students Tuesday, April 18th………. MSTEP testing for all juniors Attendance: If your student is going to be absent from school, please make sure that you call the attendance line within 24 hours to excuse them. This 24 hour hotline can be reached at 248-627-1825. End of Third Marking Period: This Thursday marks the end of the third marking period for all students. Report cards will be coming home with your student on Friday, April 21st. Advanced Placement Testing: Any student that is in Advanced Placement classes will be taking their official tests the first two weeks of May (depending on the class). Study resources are online and available through each individual teacher. It is recommended that each student start studying now! Dual Enrollment: Are you interested in gaining both high school and college credit simultaneously for next school year?
