News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of January 29, 2018
2nd Semester Schedules: Second semester schedules are available through the parent and student portals on line. If for some reason you cannot access these portals, students can get a copy of their schedules on Monday morning in the counseling office. Please be advised that only in extreme cases will we be changing any student’s schedule for second semester. Dual Enrollment: We will be holding a Dual enrollment meeting for the parents of all current sophomores and Juniors on Thursday, February 12th at 6:00 pm. We are excited to share with you a partnership that we have formed with the University of Michigan-Flint. See the attached letter and flyer for more details. SAT Preparation: Brandon High School will be offering after school SAT preparation sessions starting in late February. Please stay tuned for more information about this. If you would like additional and/or individual prep we are attaching a flyer for Schollagiate that we have worked with in the past. Peer Lift: Peer lift is a non-profit organization that connects high school students of all backgrounds to a proven selection of exceptional opportunities for college including helping them secure grants, scholarships, trips to college and university campuses, as well as all expense paid trips overseas. Please check out their website peer.lift.org for more information. Driver’s Training: Brandon Groveland Youth Assistance is now offering assistance to help those students that may not be able to afford Driver’s Training classes. Please contact Ragen Rockwell for more information at 248-627-6445 for more information. Report Cards: Report Cards will be coming home with your student on Friday, February 2nd. You will also be able to view these online through the parent portal. If you have any questions about your student’s grades please contact their individual teachers. Official State Count Day February 16th………….. Half Day of School February 16th………….. No School February 20th………….. NAEP Testing for Seniors February 20th – 23rd…… Scheduling of Classes for Next Year Have a Great Week and Go BLACKHAWKS!!!
