News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of May 14, 2018
 
 
Thank You:  A BIG thank from our teachers goes out to all parents and community members that provided lunch for our teachers for teacher appreciation week.  This is an event that our teachers look forward to every year, and you came through better than ever. 
 
Drugs / Opioids:  Brandon High School in conjunction with St. Joseph Mercy Hospital is pleased to be able to bring our parents and community a presentation on teenage drug use.  Please consider joining us for this very insightful evening on May 14th at 6:30.  Please see the attached flyer for more details. 
 
Juniors:  Application season is right around the bend!  Along with applying to 3-5 colleges next year, students will be applying for financial aid and scholarships to pay for college.  We are fortunate to have an expert in the field of financial aid, Dr. Carrie Gilchrist, Senior Financial Aid Outreach Adviser at Oakland University, joining us for our Junior Financial Aid Night to walk families through the ins and outs of the financial aid process.

Who: All college-bound juniors and parents of juniors
When: May 24th at 6:30 PM
Where: Brandon High School Performing Arts Center
 
Seniors:  Please see the very important attached informational flyer for the many events that will be taking place between now and graduation for all seniors.

Summer School:  We will be offering a wide variety of summer school classes this summer.  Please contact Nick Ejak (nejak@brandon.k12.mi.us) if you have questions or would like to know if your student is behind in their credits.  To sign up for summer school and get more information please click HERE.  Summer school will run the weeks of June 18th, June 25th and July 9th Monday – Thursday.  Also, see the attached flyer for more details.
 
Graduated Drivers License:  If you have a student that will be driving soon, please click on the Department of State’s site that has a parent checklist to assist you through the process.
