News and Notes for Brandon High School for the Week of May 21, 2018
Junior Parents: Brandon High School will be presenting a Financial Aid Night on Thursday, May 24th at 6:30 pm. in the Performing Arts Center. An expert from Oakland University will be going over the application process, the FAFSA form, scholarships, grants, and the student loan process. It is highly recommended that all Junior parents attend. Senior Exams: All seniors will be taking their final exams on May 22 – 24. Once they are done with their exams on each day they are allowed to leave school. For those seniors that qualify to opt out of exams, you do not need to be in school during the designated exam times. May 22nd – 5th and 6th hour exams May 23rd – 3rd and 4th hour exams May 24th – 1st and 2nd hour exams Long Weekend: Reminder that we have a half day of school this Friday, May 25th, and no school on Monday, May 28th. We will resume all classes on Tuesday, May 29th. Band Fundraiser: Please consider shopping at WoJos for all of your landscaping and gardening needs this Wednesday, May 23rd and mention the Brandon High School Band. 10% of all proceeds will go to support the band boosters. See the attached flyer for more details. Charity Concert: There will be a Charity Concert at Brandon High School on Wednesday, May 23rd to benefit the Canine Companions Rescue Center. Admission is $3.00. See the attached flyer for more details. Senior Bulletin: All seniors and parents, please see the attached senior bulletin for news and information on events that are coming your way in May and June. Mark your calendars now for all events. Principal’s Council: Principal’s Council will be held this Tuesday, May 22nd starting at 6:00 pm at Brandon High School. All parents are invited to come in and hear about what is going on at Brandon High School, offer feedback on how we are doing, and to be a part of the decision making process as we head into next year. We hope to see you all there. Summer School: We will be offering a wide variety of summer school classes this summer. Please contact Nick Ejak (nejak@brandon.k12.mi.us) if you have questions or would like to know if your student is behind in their credits. To sign up for summer school and get more information please click HERE. Summer school will run the weeks of June 18th, June 25th and July 9th Monday – Thursday.
