Brandon High School News and Notes for the Week of August 13, 2018

The staff at Brandon High School is already working in full force to make your 2018-2019 school year the best yet.  I will send out these weekly newsletters so that you can stay abreast of current news, calendar events, and information throughout the school year.  If at any time you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me at any point.  My contact information will be at the end of this letter.  Please see my official Welcome Back Letter that is attached.

August Office Hours:  The BHS office will be open Monday – Friday from 7:00 - 2:00 each day.  Or, you can always call us at 248-627-1820.  Although Counselors are not in until August 21st, our Counseling Secretary is available to set up appointments and answer questions.

Registration for All Students:  It is very important that every parent fill out the most up to date registration information for their students.  This needs to be done online by all parents before your student can attend registration days.  Please see the attached document for more information on how to accomplish this task.

Registration Dates:  Registration this year will be on August 21st for 10th and 12th grade students and on August 22nd for 9th and 11th grade students.  Both days will be from 8:00 – 3:00 with a lunch break between 11:00 – 12:00.  Registration will include receiving your class schedules, pictures being taken, purchasing parking permits and yearbooks, getting locker assignments, and being able to walk around the building to locate your classes.  Please be aware that if you have any kind of fines or owe money that you will not be allowed to participate in registration.

Pictures:  You should be receiving in the mail information from HR Imaging about school pictures for this school year.  Please do not throw this information away as this picture will be used for school ID purposes.  Please look for an additional email from BHS with additional information as well.

Medications:  Please be aware that any medications (including over the counter) taken at Brandon High School must be kept in the office at all times and have a form filled out and on file in our office.  Please see one of our secretaries for more information and how to obtain this form.

Backpacks:  We will be allowing students to carry backpacks this school year to and from their classes.

Athletics:  Please support our athletes by coming out to a game, match, meet or contest this Fall.  For athletic information and calendar events, visit our website HERE.

Twitter:  At Brandon High School we like to Tweet daily with pictures and information that is going on at BHS.  Please follow our administrative team to stay up to date with all things BHS.
