Message from Brandon Board of Education

Dear Staff, Parents, and Community Members,

On Friday, February 24th, the Board of Education unanimously selected Mrs. Carly Stone as the Superintendent of the Brandon School District. Mrs. Stone has served as the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction in Brandon since August 2020. She is also a Blackhawk parent, as her two children have attended Brandon Schools since she was hired. As a former Teacher, Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, and Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment she brings a wealth of experiences, knowledge, and perspective to this role. In her educational career, she has produced and implemented programs that have received notable honors. She is passionate about the growth and success of students and staff through exceptional teaching and learning. We are confident that she is highly qualified to lead the Brandon School District.

We are proud to have Mrs. Stone make this transition and we look forward to the future of the Brandon School District. Mrs. Stone will officially assume the position of Superintendent in March of 2023. Please join us in congratulating and partnering with Mrs. Stone, one of our very own Blackhawks, as she embarks on the superintendency. We would also like to thank Dr. Gary Richards for his commitment to serving our district as Interim Superintendent.

There will be many opportunities to meet and interact with Mrs. Stone in the near future. We appreciate your support and dedication to the Brandon School District.

Sincerely,

The Brandon Board of Education
