Our Mission
We believe that children learn best through child-initiated, play based, and active learning opportunities. The Brandon Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) and the Brandon Preschool Academy are meant to extend and enhance the role of the Brandon School District. Recognizing this, the primary mission of the Brandon Preschool Programs is to encourage, coordinate, and facilitate the progress of lifelong learning. This is accomplished through awareness of individual needs, special programs, and dedicated community involvement. Our preschool programs prepare our youngest students to grow and learn to be prepared for a smooth Kindergarten or Junior Kindergarten transition and successful K-12 educational journey!
Early childhood education and preschool programs are the extension of the Brandon Public Schools for our 2 year 9 months old to 5 year old students. Our preschool programs prepare our youngest students to grow and learn to be ready to begin a successful K-12 journey. The Brandon Preschool Programs set up our preschool students for a successful Kindergarten or Junior Kindergarten experience.

Cancellation of Class Due to Inclement Weather
During the school year, it sometimes becomes necessary to close school due to inclement weather, impassable road conditions or other emergency situations. When the Brandon School District is closed, the Brandon Early Childhood Center will also be closed. Please listen to local radio and/or television reports for school closing information. Parents will also be notified on the ProCare Communication App.
Our Parent Handbook indicates that "There are no reimbursements or credits due to non-attendance or emergency/weather related program closure, including natural and man-made disasters, or any day the district cancels." (pg.9).
Disclosures and Non-Discrimination
Brandon Early Childhood Education programs and its administration are not responsible for any activities that take place outside of the class between the teacher and participants.
