Welcome to the Brandon School District Maintenance and Operations Department website. Our department encompasses custodial, maintenance, grounds and delivery, including energy conservation and environmental compliance. The department is also responsible for the implementation and oversight of all areas included in the Environmental Health and Safety Policy, and manages the Bond construction programs and all other internal capital projects. The Maintenance and Operations Department is committed to providing functional, safe and healthy learning environments in an efficient and effective manner.
The school district encompasses the Village of Ortonville and the Township of Brandon in Oakland County, Michigan. Brandon School District has a current enrollment of approximately 3,000 students in grades K-12. The district operates six (6) buildings, which include elementary schools, a middle school and a high school, along with administrative and operational buildings which make up 697,000 square feet of building space.
Buildings are in use from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. for the K-12 community, continuing education programs, and the community at large. Hours vary by location. Successful bond issues have provided opportunities to upgrade, expand and update many buildings to the latest energy efficiency standards as well as provide appropriate spaces for learning.
