Dear Parents,
Class 121 talked today about OCEF (Ortonville Community Emergency Fund). We discussed how people who need help, can go there to get food.
We are going to walk the Crop Walk as a class. It is this coming Sunday, September 30th (sorry for the last minute notice.). The registration starts at 1:30 and we start walking at 2:00. I’m hoping that at least some of your children can make it.
This is not a school-sponsored activity, so you do not have to walk with us! Meet me at the United Methodist Church on Church Street (it’s the white wooden church) in downtown Ortonville at 1:30 on September 30th (THIS Sunday!) The walk starts at 2:00. I am estimating that it will take us one hour. Pick-up is back at the church. Please be there by 3:00! Have your child bring a water bottle and wear comfy shoes! We’ll walk no matter what the weather is.
The class talked about using a bit of their own money instead of asking for more, since we will have just done the FunD Run! Every little bit helps. Even if they just bring in one dollar, that would be great!
